This Yijing Webite is published by the Yijing Foundation in Amsterdam (E-mail). This site exists since January 2001 and this is currently the 4th version. The site uses the Yijing software that Ruud Nederveen has developed since 1981. The answers given by the Yijing here are generated by the exact digital simulation of the coin method *. So a 2 or a 3 is given per line three times, exactly as you would do with hand-thrown coins.

If you are a member of this site and have an account, your questions and answers will be saved in a way that only you can read them. That posed challenges to the safeguarding of your privacy and we succeeded well. As we store your password encrypted, we have also found a way to guarantee your privacy for the saved questions.
In addition, we guarantee that we never share your personal information with anyone or anything else. It is very important that you know yourself safe and secure when you are on this site.

The text of this online Yijing, the Book of Changes, is based on the original translation by Richard Wilhelm, "I Ging. Das Buch der Wandlungen", (Eugen Diederichs Verlag, Düsseldorf/Köln, Jena 1924). The translation from German to English is conducted by the Yijing Foundation, with credits to the famous translation by Cary F. Baynes. This English translation of the Yijing was first published in 1950 by Princeton University Press, NJ.
